3D Tutorial 02 - Add SciChart Libraries to Android Studio
You can use Gradle or Maven to include the .aar files in Android Studio. Here we use Gradle.
Create Android Basic Activity App
1. First, in Android Studio create a project with a Basic activity.
Using Gradle
2. Open the "build.gradle" that says (Module:app) and declare a new Maven repository in the "repositories" node inside the "allprojects" node. Use the URL from above.
The screenshot below shows where the file can be found in the Project window in Android Studio:
3. Download and unzip SciChart Android v3. Copy these files into the folder app/libs in your project folder:
- charting-release.aar
- drawing-release.aar
- charting3d-release.aar
- extensions-release.aar
- core-release.aar
- extensions3d-release.aar
- data-release.aar
4. Add to sections first flatDir to tell Gradle what folder to look into:

5. Then add the SciChart .aar files to the dependencies section:
