InvalidateParentSurface Method (DataSeries<TX,TY>)

May be called to trigger a redraw on the parent SciChart.Charting.Visuals.SciChartSurface. This method is extremely useful when IDataSeries are in a ViewModel and bound via MVVM to SciChart.Charting.Visuals.RenderableSeries.IRenderableSeries. Please see the parameter for invalidation options

Syntax

public void InvalidateParentSurface( 
   RangeMode rangeMode,
   bool hasDataChanged
)

Parameters

rangeMode: Provides RangeMode invalidation options for the parent surface
hasDataChanged: if set to true this tells the DataSeries that data has changed, and any cached values must be recreated.

Requirements

Target Platforms: Windows 7, Windows Vista SP1 or later, Windows XP SP3, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core supported with SP1 or later), Windows Server 2003 SP2
