Hi,
I have recently updated my SciChart assemblies to version 4.2.0.9227.
However, I use the SciChart3DInteractionToolbar, defined in SciChart.Examples.ExternalDependencies. This now appears to be incompatible with the recent nightly release and I get the error
Could not load file or assembly ‘SciChart.Charting3D, Version=4.2.0.9172.
Is there a new ExternalDependancies dll available that I could use.
I can’t understand this issue because when I update the SciChart_SparseImpulseSeries3D example project to use the same new Scichart version this runs okay.
Any help in resolving this issue is gladly appreciated.
Regards,
Marc

Hi Marc,
First up, SciChartInteractionToolbar and SciChart3DInteractionToolbar are not actually controls that we support, they are shipped with the SciChart WPF Examples Suite and intended for demonstrating scichart only.
Secondlly SciChartInteractionToolbar/SciChart3DInteractionToolbar references the SciChart DLLs and require the same version to be referenced as your application. That’s why it’s not working if you update the SciChart version.
However, there is a workaround.

You can get the SciChart.ExternalDependencies.dll from our latest installer, by default installed to the C:/Program Files (x86)/SciChart Ltd/SciChart SDK/ExamplesBin folder
-
OR, you can actually view the source for the SciChartInteractionToolbar / SciChart3DInteractionToolbar as we ship the full source for the examples app. This is installed by default to C:\Users\%CurrentUser%\AppData\Roaming\SciChart SDK.
If you want to use our source just copy it in to your application and compile it. It is licensed without warranty / as-is.
Best regards,
Andrew

H Andrew,
I re-compiled the ExternalDependancies using the latest SciChart nightly released and this now works well.
Thanks,
Marc

Hi Marc, I’m glad to hear it! May I suggest also not using all of ExternalDependencies – this contains some embedded resources which are quite large (>10Megs) which are example data for our examples app. Best regards, Andrew
