Hi Team,

I am getting the error message Sorry! your trail of schichart has expired message is coming on the end user PC through we have purchased the developer license and activating the schichart using the runtime key provided in my account. Gone through the steps provided in here .

Also checked if there are any spaces in the license key. FYI, my developer license is expired and using the v5.4 with nuget.

Version
v5.4

Hi Pradnya,

I would recommend looking at the licensing-troubleshooting guide for SciChart WPF v5.

Most common problems including all troubleshooting steps are listed in this question & answer: I have got scichart licence, but I got an error when I run my app

By far the most common errors with licensing are:

  • Activating with the v6 Licensing Wizard and using SciChart WPF v5
  • Activating with the v5 Licensing Wizard and using SciChart WPF v6
  • Activating and not applying a runtime key
  • Applying a runtime key and not activating
  • Applying an out of date runtime key or license

Best regards,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

We have followed the same instructions and still getting the error. FYI, the error we are getting is on end user machine not on the developer machine. As per my understanding, we don’t required to configure anything on the end user machine that we do with licensing wizard as we do on developer machine. Please correct me if I am wrong here.

We have followed the below steps to created binaries to share with the end-user.

  • using the SciChartSurface.SetRuntimeLicenseKey method passing the runtime key available in the profile section and
  • created the application in release mode
  • We simply copying the all binaries available in the release folder and sharing with the client to run the application on their machine.

Please let me know if we need to follow any additional steps on the end user machine to remove the error.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Pradnya,

I’ve provided the licensing FAQs and troubleshooting guides, if your support subscription has expired we aren’t obligated to help further.

I can suggest however that you can self-diagnose the problem by following the troubleshooting steps for SciChart WPF v5 in this article. There is a video at the bottom of the page which has specific steps to help diagnose trial expired on end-user PC.

There is also a licensing-test app on our Github repository where you can test out runtime keys.

If you are unable to solve the problem & still need support, get in touch with sales, we would be able to diagnose and assist but it requires a support subscription and may require updating SciChart WPF as well, since you are using an older version.

Best regards,
Andrew
