Content description: The performance of scichart in single line rendering data is amazing. My current requirement is to render multiple lines at a time (up to 1800 lines). I hope that after loading, when moving the mouse, the tooltips for specific points will be displayed quickly. Are there similar cases for my reference?

We found that the part of our project that uses scichart does not work correctly on iOS12, and then we tried to open a browser on iOS12 to the scichart javascript demo webpage, and found that it did not work.

When I’m viewing a chart from mobile browser, quality of graphics is very low.
I can see pixels and some blurred graphics on mobile browsers. But it’s completely ok on the desktop browsers.

Hi,

In my application I am hiding some of the line chart by changing the visibility. When changing the visibility the markers is not hiding from the chart. Its happening only the mouse pointer is inside the chart before the visibility change. I have created a sample application and created the video recording also. Please check the attached file for example code and video. On the video you can saw that 2 line visibility is changed and line are hidden from the chart and the markers not hiding from the chart.

I have been working with the new Overview Chart feature available in the new 2.0.0-beta.2084 release, and ran into an issue where I can remove lines from the overview surface no problem, but then I always receive an error whenever I try to add one.

I was just wondering if there is a recommended flow for when a parent chart’s renderable series array has traces added or removed. One thing I did try to circumvent this issue was to delete the old overview and add a new one, but I receive either a separate error or the overview would draw without any traces.

I have attached a file with example code that should display the error I receive when you add a line to an overview component. I have also attached an image of the error that appears in the console.

As you already know, I’ve implemented a wrapper of scichart.

In a clear Nuxt project, I can get the scichart.data / scichart.wasm files very well. Have no problems with that at all.

But on my current project, we can’t implement this because some dependency is missing from scichart. And without your code, I really don’t know how to get into it.

Hi There,

I’m new to SciChart, I have a question regarding DateTimeAxis that is it possible to display the date when plotting data based on hours for multiple days?

For example, I’m plotting data for Aug/07, Aug/06, and Aug/05, so I have 72 data points to display, but the problem is the user can see all the data based on hours however, they will not be able to see when the day has changed. Is there any way I can achieve this.

Hi,

In the documentation I can’t see any way to make a chart surface fill the available space in all directions.

By default, it fills the available horizontal space, but the ratio of width:height remains fixed.

The only example I’ve seen where this is slightly different is this JS example, where the width flexes independently to fit the available space: https://demo.scichart.com/javascript-2d-3d-chart-tenor-curves-example – I’m not sure exactly what part of the code makes this different to the other examples?

My goal is to allow the user to adjust the height and width of any chart themselves by dragging the size of the container div, with the chart surface ideally just filling the space in a ‘dumb’ way, rather than using JS to manually update the chart size during the drag event.

I see in the documentation that I need to set the boolean to true/false. But my question is how do I do this after the series has been rendered? I am using a custom legend and need to be able to toggle visibility.

Inside the onClick function is where I was trying to change visibility for both series. I’ve tried multiple things without any luck. I assumed it would be as simple as getting the correct series, setting the visible property and maybe a re-render if that is even needed? Like I said any advice on a better way of handling this is welcome

We found that when the entered data is wrong and SciChart exception occurs, we can’t get back to normal without F5 reloading.

In our application, when switching the symbol/screen, it will start over from SciChartSurface.create(), but it just cannot return to normal.

If the abnormal data causes scichart exception, what can we do to minimize the damage ?

For 2D charts , I’ve used recomendation of your release v.2.2:

I have combed through KB articles and other documentations and samples here and SO, but I am not able to fix the issue. I am desperate for any help.

I have a react app that shows the chart, but at the top of the page, I have a header section and the remaining height is filled with Chart. All the samples and answers that I have seen thus far has no header section on the page. So the chart is 100% filled within it’s container. But, in my case the chart does not fit its container width & height and I end up with a scroll-bar. This is especially evident when you maximize the page (Chrome maximize window).

I am on Windows 10.

I have attached the code and a screen-shot of what the resulting page in Chrome. I have tried with and without CSS and it made no difference in terms of chart filling its container.

Looking to try and “link” two timeseries charts when either one is zoomed. The link aspect would be updating the other chart to have the same visible range as the zoomed chart.

Each chart has its visibleRange property updated in response to separate socket events, that happen at similar intervals but different.

Originally, was hoping to have something similar to the onZoomExtents method that fires a callback that would allow me to grab the latest min/max of the visibleRangeProperty of the xAxes to then update the other chart.

Any suggestions on how I could go about doing this?

And if it is not clear what I am talking about I can provide some code snippets.

I am having problem instantiating SciChart.js within a specific project and was hoping you might be able to help. To provide context I can run SciChart fine in simple projects and I suspect that I have a webpack issue.

When running a simple graph instantiation such as –

The warning is raised at line 7544 (after pretty print in chrome dev tools) of scichart2d.js?formatted at a line calling WebAssembly.instantiateStreaming(e,d). both e and d have values.

Debugging originally led me to believe that there was an issue finding the scichart2d.wasm file however network traffic clearly shows the file being fetched.

Any ideas?

Working on an application that requires toggling between Linear and Logarithmic scales. I am using the JavaScript version of the library, and I see that there is a LogarithmicNumericAxis available in the WPF version but there is not one currently supported in the JS version.

Curious if there were any recommendations on how to go about hand rolling this type of functionality?

The application is doing realtime streaming of data points so need to be able to update existing values as well as handle incoming values.

Hi,

I am facing a issue with RolloverModifier. I have multiple charts in single window. For some points the lines over the chart are missing.

I am using NextJS with the SciChart trial license for development and suddenly got the error “SciChart: WebGL not supported! ” with Chrome. It worked fine before, and I didn’t change any codes for launching the chart. Also, it works fine with Firefox. The chrome version I am using is 107.0.5304.107.

BTW, the error is gone after I restarted my computer. Is it possible to be related to memory issue?

Visible Range is not working correctly. I found two cases getting the issue.

Case 1: visibleRange: new NumberRange(0, 10) -> if the values are 0 and 10 then the chart showing auto mode.
Case 2: xyData.append(i, 0) -> if all the values are 0 then its showing line on middle even the value is 0 to any number.

Please check the cases has some issues…

I am working on a proof of concept for our company to move some of our desktop apps to the web. We use SciChart WPF in our desktop apps so we are going with SciChart.JS for the web apps. Is it possible to stack the FastLineRenderableSeries in SciChart.JS like we do in WPF?

Hello,

I am currently developing an application using Electron (v. 8.3.0), React (v. 17.0.1), and TypeScript (v. 4.0.5). I have created a simple demo app (see attached) to test this software, and I found that whenever the application window is resized, there is an “Uncaught null” error from scichart2d.js caught by the console. I also found that at some window dimensions, it even seems that the chart cannot properly be displayed and it will try to constantly rerender, quickly filling up the console with the same error.

A couple of notes:

  • I currently am using a trial key.
  • I am compiling this application using electron-webpack (https://webpack.electron.build/). It has a few built-in tools that ease the compilation/app creation process when combining Electron with other frameworks. This means some of the webpack API being used is abstracted, but we can append our own (see webpack.renderer.additions.js), more information can also be found at https://webpack.electron.build/modifying-webpack-configurations.
  • Electron v. 8.3.0 uses Chromium 80, so all features should be supported.

If the y axis values are same then the lines are not visible on the chart and the labels are also not visible on the chart. Can you draw the lines on the middle of the chart to get more visible?

It’s impossible to zoom a candlestick chart (other types as well) on mobile browsers & WebViews.
I’m trying to use pinch-to-zoom with my fingers on chart, but it doesn’t react on it. Only sliding on the left & right is possible.

Hello,

we plan to generate reports containing SciChart charts, so we can re-use the chart components we show in our web-application. We did the same successfully in the past with SciChart for WPF.

So far I didn’t find any special support to generate high quality print output (and printing for js charts in general). Using the web-browsers print function the charts are rendered as bitmaps at screen resolution. In SciChart for WPF you provide a Vector Rendering Plugin which we used for printing (as described here https://support.scichart.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/17263/40).

Is there already support for high quality rendering in SciChart.js or do you have plans for it and maybe a timeline when to expect it?

I found one issue when printing from the example charts (https://demo.scichart.com/javascript-line-chart). After opening with a new browser window, on the first print the page content in the print dialog is most times empty but after reloading (F5) it is apparently always shown. I don’t know yet if this would be an issue when rendering to a PDF which we plan, but I think this should always work at the first time a page is loaded. Tested with current Chrome (88.0.4324.104) and Edge (88.0.705.56).

I wanted to attach a .png screenshot (435 KiB) but it didn’t work (a progress bar runs to 100% but then the file list is still empty tried file selection and drag&drop ). I think the issue should be understandable without a screenshot?

I create custom annotation with nested input. In the code, I specify the autofocus property.
But autofocus only works once after page reload. With any manipulations with the chart (zoom, scrolling) – autofocus stops working.
