I need to create a chart that has string values in the x axis, and numeric values in the y axis.

The data input would be something like this.

Apples, 5
Oranges, 10
Bananas, 15
Grapes, 3
Pears, 17

Is this currently possible with Sci-Charts, and if not how hard would it be to add?

🙂

Thanks!

Hello Dwaldo,

Yes it is certainly possible to have an XAxis with string labels. We have created a KB article on this topic here:

Specifying Text Labels with ILabelProvider

There is also an excellent tutorial with downloadable sample here:

Faking Text Labels (String Axis) with ILabelProvider

Hope this helps!
