Hello,

I’m currently working on extending the StackedColumnRenderableSeries. I need to get notified within my SubClassSeries whenever the XAxis is changed.

What is the recommended way of doing this? I haven’t seen any events that I may attach to, nor any methods I could override that indicate this.

The only option I have found is overriding the metadata of the XAxisID dependency property and adding my own callback function over there, although I would prefer not to mess with metadata changes.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you very much.

Kind regards,
Sebastian

Hi Sebastian

There isn’t an event on XAxis changed, but it’s quite easy to listen to the DependencyProperty change of any property throughout scichart.

Please see this StackOverflow post and blog post for PropertyChangedNotifier.

Alternatively, internal to BaseRenderableSeries the XAxisId property calls BaseRenderableSeries.OnInvalidateParentSurface. You can override this method and check if the XAxisId has changed. That is another way to get a notification of xaxis changed.

Let me know if this helps

Best regards,
Andrew
