We purchased the source code and I am trying to incorporate it into our app solution file. I tried “adding an existing project” and it compiles, but fails as soon as it tries to load a graph saying it couldn’t find the dll or one of its dependencies. Are there some kind of recommendations for how to structure the projects? Should I leave the source as an external project and just reference the resulting dll?

Hi there,

Can you check if the csproj you are referencing – the Abt.Controls.SciChart.Wpf project – is targeted for .NET4 and your other projects are targeted for .NET4.5? This would give you this sort of error.

Also please check you are referencing the Abt.Controls.SciChart.Wpf project as reference in all your projects.

Let me know if you need further help.

Best regards,
Andrew

To answer your questions, All projects target .NET4, not 4.5 The project is a reference. I tried to use an external .dll by deleting the added project and the reference and adding the reference to the external .dll compiled with the ABT solution file and the app runs fine. It just doesn't work if I incorporate the ABT WPF project and add that project as a reference instead of the external dll.

Hi there,

Do you want to send over what you’ve got (by email) and I’ll take a look. We have loads of customers who do exactly this and so far no problems reported, so I’m guessing its a configuration issue of some sort.

Best regards,
Andrew
