I have the need to display a datapoint on a series (no point markers displayed) for the closest data point when a user clicks a data series. I am not sure how to display a point on the series using the hit point modifier. Any ideas?
Thanks

So after some time investigating and reading documentation – I think I can achieve this with a combination of hittestdata and a custom annotation.
Is there a better way to do this?

Hi there,
Have you seen our series on custom modifiers? Maybe this can help you. Please see the articles on the Custom ChartModifier API.
Specifically Creating a Custom RolloverModifier and Select and Drag a DataPoint should have something that is quite close to what you want to achieve.
Best regards,
Andrew
