Hi,
I’m evaluating charts and would like to know if SciChart supports selection of data points. More details:
1. Multiple selection with CTRL and Shift
2. Visual styleable feedback showing which points are selected

Fredrik

Hello Fredrik,
We provide two methods of selection out of the box, these are Series-Selection and Data-point Hit-Testing.
For an example on how to use the SeriesSelectionModifier, which allows click-select of a series and styling of the selected series, see this silverlight demo:
http://http://www.scichart.com/Abt.Controls.SciChart.SL.ExampleTestPage.html#/Abt.Controls.SciChart.Example;component/Examples/IWantTo/InspectDatapoints/SeriesSelectionExampleView.xaml
For an example of how to use our Hit-Testing API to determine if the mouse is over a data-point, see this demo:
http://http://www.scichart.com/Abt.Controls.SciChart.SL.ExampleTestPage.html#/Abt.Controls.SciChart.Example;component/Examples/IWantTo/InspectDatapoints/HitTestDatapoints.xaml
I’m afraid there is no out of the box API to allow selection and styling of individual data-points, however such a thing could be achieved with a combination of the Hit-Test API and Annotations (new to v1.5)
Best regards,
Andrew
