Hi,
I’m using SciChard version 2 successfully in a new, small project. But my big application is much more complex and currently generates hundreds of compile errors after installing version 2. Is there a way to run SciChart versions 1 (1.7, I guess) and 2 side-by-side while I’m adjusting my code to deal with all the breaking changes?
Thanks,
–George

Hi George,
Yes you should be able to now with v2.1.1. We have upgraded our third-party installer software and made some changes. It will now install by default to Program Files/ABT Software/SciChart_v2.1.1/ and can be installed side by side with v1.x. Also it will now obey the user-defined install directory.
We’ve tested this on our side and you do get two install directories, two sets of shortcuts under the start menu so with a bit of luck it should all work as expected. Installer parameters are extremely fiddly and a lot of work went into getting this to work. If you do spot any problems please let me know we’ll go through the parameters again and ensure everything is ok.
Best regards,
Andrew
