I have the overview control working very well. My data is sine-wave based (electrical waveforms) and the overview appears to fill in the area between the line series and the zero point on the Y axis (that is, the midpoint on the Y axis). Is there a way to turn off that fill?

Hi David,

The SciChartOverview is somewhat pre-packaged, meaning you get a single DataSeries shown as a mountain (area) fill and a scrollbar over it.

In SciChart v3.2 we introduced a new API – the SciChart ScrollBar API.

This allows you to fully customize its background. See Creating a Custom SciChartOverview

Best regards,
Andrew

I’m trying to utilize the Creating a Custom SciChartOverview example and am hitting a few roadblocks. I’m new to WPF/xaml so that may be part of the problem.

The first problem I think I have figured out, and that is that your example is expecting the chart surface and overview to be in a WPF User Control and not in a window, correct?

Second, what is common:DoubleToGridLengthConverter?

Third, how do I use the helpers:ActualSizePropertyProxy class? Seems to require more than just adding that .cs file to the project.

That’s all for now. Hopefully once I get through all that the rest will be pretty straightforward.
