Hi,

I am wondering how many of the demo example FIFO (Scrolling) Charts is suggested to put in the same application and maintain good performance. Is it ok to put anywhere from 12 to 24 in the same window? What is a reasonable amount you would suggest to maintain performance?

Thanks,
Jeff

Hello Jeff,

My advice is ‘try it’ and see where you get to. The total performance will depend on a number of factors, such as the number of series, the computer CPU speed and number of cores, other processes running, the size of the charts and monitor resolution, as well as the specific settings you use in SciChart.

That being said we have had one user use FIFO series to render up to 24,000,000 data-points combined over several series in real-time FIFOs and he said it worked pretty well. You can read the testimonial from Wincor-Nixdorf over at our Testimonials page.

Hope that helps!

Andrew
