Microsoft has announced that it plans to retire the XPS file format and remove the XPS viewer in future Windows installations. I presume this mean the “Export to XPS” feature will not be useful for much longer. Given this news, does SciChart have plans to support a different vector format like SVG instead?

Well, since we just heard about this news (from you), the short answer is no – we have no plans, but now we know, we will definitely investigate it! Best regards, Andrew

Thanks. I had just heard too. :)

Are there any news to this topic? We would be very happy with the possibility to export SVG from scichart.

Hi Armin and David. At the moment we don’t have plans to replace XPS with SVG however … we did announce yesterday in our roadmap (https://www.scichart.com/scichart-roadmap-for-2019) that one of the items is a new Feature-Request system which will allow our customers to submit feature requests, and vote on feature requests. We are doing this to help us sift through the enormous amount of requests we get for features and to prioritise them by user importance. We will be linking voting power to purchase history so our valued customers will get a higher input into the features requested and we will be working on the features with the most votes. What I suggest is that when that system goes live, submit a request and both of you vote on it. If you can get other members of your team to vote as well, then do so. The higher number of requests the more likely it will be done. Best regards, Andrew
