I would like to create a polar heat map .

Is it possible to create one using the current types – I have looked a the examples and just don’t see an obvious choice.

I have attached an example of a polar heat map.

Hi Bryan,

I’m afraid it isn’t a feature in our WPF Chart library at the moment. You can request features and vote on them by going here.

What you can do is use a normal uniform heat map, which renders an NxM 2-dimensional array of data, then apply some mask over the top, to draw a rectangle with hole so that only part of the heat map is visible. Take a look at this answer on StackOverflow for how to create such a shape.

For the heat map itself and heat map legend, this is supported. Take a look at our Heatmap examples in the SciChart WPF Examples Suite for more info.

Best regards,
Andrew
