The SciChart FAQ knowledgebase is a valuable learning tool, but sometimes I need to print articles to pdf to have offline. Unfortunately, the article format is not printer friendly. the left navigation column consumes bout 30% of the page width, and the content of example code boxes is clipped if the box contains a scrollbar.
Would it be possible to define print CSS that eliminates the left column, and wraps the example code? – or alternatively, to provide a way to download the rendered pdf ala Wikipedia.
Similarly, being able to generate a pdf version of the API documentation would be extremely useful when working offline.

Hi William!
I’ll pass on your comments about Print CSS to our web developers. In the meantime, why not try one of the many (free) offline reader apps to allow you to read our Knowledgebase offline?
Best regards,
Andrew

Andrew,
Yes, an offline viewer (I use HTTrack) does provide access to the information, but the page navigation elements still make it difficult to view on a small screen – lots of scrolling.
I appreciate that maintaining good quality searchable, printable, ebook documentation can be a costly endeavor. I would be willing to pay a reasonable price for the improved productivity that comes from having the information on all my devices along with my other ebooks.

Hi Bill, it is massively costly. We literally have to choose between writing features or writing documentation. What we've done is invested heavily in a growing, searchable, online KB. It is more likely to stay up to date if online. Also we can integrate contributions from users (from our forums) into the search. I'll see what we can do about the print CSS but we're not going to double our efforts to keep a printed & online version of the documentation. Best regards, Andrew

I understand. I certainly agree that you have done an excellent job of creating a full featured, high performance, easy to use plotting package at a very reasonable cost; so I can’t fault your priorities.
Thanks,
Bill
