Hello everyone,

I’m using the SciChart to plot a real-time data from different sensors and I have implemented a button to turn on/off auto scale. The chart is working great especially after upgrade to v2.2. I’ve noticed the significant change in performance, thanks for all the efforts. Lately I’ve got across a strange issue, on one particular PC the chart is not refreshing, and when I press on auto scale button I get the latest data plotted but the chart still won’t refresh automatically, I have to press auto scale again and again. The strange thing is, that it’s happening just on two particular PC’s. I don’t have any problem to run application on any other PC, it just works. Have you been across similar issue before?

Hi Gentlemen,

In the post SciChart Zoom not Working on One Computer we discovered that this was an Intel Graphics driver issue related to WriteableBitmap. There is an example here to reproduce it which uses only .NET code (no SciChart code).

Please run that example. If it doesn’t work then you have the Intel driver issue.

It’s a hard one to solve as basically Intel on some graphics devices does not allow .NET code to write to or update a bitmap. The solution is: you can petition Intel, and in the meantime, we can try to come up with a workaround.

Best regards,
Andrew

Hi Amir,

Thanks for reporting the issue! Yes, similar issue was reported once in this post, but we could neither get more information nor reproduce it.

Could you please report back .NET version installed, DPI settings(e.g. resolution on the screen), Windows version, etc.? Also, try running our examples suite on that computer and see if you can notice any similar issues. Thanks for your time and cooperation!

Best regards,
Yuriy

Hi Yuriy, Your examples didn't work also on that laptop. It's a brand new laptop running Windows 8 64-bit, .NET version 4.0, I tried all the available resolutions. I couldn't test the other laptop because I don't have it, all I know about it is that an older model probably running Windows 7. This is a link to the laptop that I have, maybe you can get helpful information from there. Best Regards, Amir

Hi Amir, Thanks for additional info on this issue! We appreciate your help and going to investigate it ASAP. There is also new info incoming from another customer who faced the same issue, and it seems to be successfully resolved by updating/reinstalling graphic driver. Please, take a look at this post. Could you try and let us know whether it resolves your issue or not? Best regards, Yuriy
