Some customers are reporting the following exception when upgrading to SciChart v6.1.0.13075 or 6.1.1.13136 via NuGet

SciChartSurface didn't render, because an exception was thrown:
Message: Unable to find an entry point named 'CSharp_ResamplingArgs_InputSize_set' in DLL 'VXccelEngine2D'.

It could be a different exception message but ‘Entry Point not Found in VXccelEngine2D.dll’ is the similar message shown in the exception.

Solution below

The solution is to go into the C:/users/CURRENT_USER/AppData/Local/SciChart/Dependencies folder and delete the whole folder.

Restart your applications and it should be good to go.

This problem should not occur, we write out dependencies to the above folder with separate version numbers so there should be no conflict. We believe it may be occurring when you update a NuGet package version of SciChart and Visual Studio designer is still holding onto the dependencies file locking it.

However, if it does occur, delete the folder and you should be good to go 🙂

Best regards,
Andrew
