A runtime error is thrown when trying to pan a line render series with an x-Axis of type CategoryDateTimeAxis:

System.AccessViolationException
HResult=0x80004003
Message=Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.
Source=
StackTrace:

The output in VS 2019 produced the following:

An unhandled exception of type ‘System.AccessViolationException’ occurred in SciChart.Data.dll
Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.

I use the new 6.x beta version with the new render engine.

No other stack trace is available, it only points to [External Code]

Any idea what might be going on?

Rendering with an x-Axis of type DateTime works just fine, the runtime error only pops up after I changed to CategoryDateTimeAxis.

6.x

    Hi there, Thank for your inquiry. Could you please provide us with a small sample project reproducing this issue or with the steps to reproduce it on our side using our examples. Thanks in advance.
  • bbmat
    @Oleksandr Shvets, I added a sample project that reproduces the error. Please note that I removed the bin folder and so the project has tro be built first due to file size limitation. When running, please use the right mouse blick and zoom in and then pan left and right in the zoomed-in region and the same error will be thrown as indicated above.

    Hi Matt, Thank you for the sample project. By the way – it looks like you have renewed your license but did not activate the new serial key. We suggest activating the renewed keys so that your profile shows as support active to our stuff!
  • bbmat
    @Oleksandr Shvets, thanks for pointing out the licensing activation. Just activated it. Would you know when this bug will be fixed? Most of my charts depend on CategoryDateTime axes and I cannot work with the new version until this is fixed.
