Hi, we want to use the FastColumnRenderableSeries but keep the column width of each value fixed to a certain value. A simple explanation would be with currency along the x-axis, we’d like to have each column represent one cent.

At the moment the columns seem to grow to the smallest distance between two values. The new UseUniformWidth property helps a little (at least it seems a bit more predictable) but it is still a long way off what we need.

I have attached a sample application that demonstrates both the current behaviour and something similar to the desired behaviour which I achieved for demonstration by adding an extra point 0.01 different from one of the others. this approach is certainly not workable in production and it also breaks as soon as you allow panning and zooming.

Finally I found a pretty nasty bug in this which is demonstrated in the code (you need to uncomment a line) that generates an AccessViolationException if values are added to the dataseries out of order.

Hello Todd,

is this a new post or an old one? The forum shows the date as April 2013 but its on the front page! I remember something you reported before like this, do you require assistance? – Let me know, the forum appears to be behaving oddly.

Best regards,
Andrew
