This is a minor update which includes a number of bug fixes, improvements, and new features. It is strongly advised for users of SciChart v5.x to upgrade to this version, which is a drop-in replacement.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>What&#8217;s New in SciChart WPF v5.3?<\/h2>\n<h3>New features<\/h3>\n<h6><strong>WPF Chart Animation Functions<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>SciChart&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scichart.com\/wpf-chart-features\">WPF Chart<\/a>\u00a0now features a new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scichart.com\/documentation\/v5.x\/Introduction%20to%20the%20Animations%20API%20.html\">WPF Chart Animation API<\/a>. Animated WPF charts will make your applications more appealing to you and your customers.<\/p>\n<p>There are four standard animation types introduced in SciChart WPF:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Fade Animation<\/li>\n<li>Wave Animation<\/li>\n<li>Sweep Animation<\/li>\n<li>Scale Animation<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Animations have been included in several of our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scichart.com\/wpf-chart-examples\">WPF Chart Examples<\/a>. You may see them in the video below.<\/p>\n<div class=\"videowrapper\"><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/PVtndUMruD4\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>SciChart&#8217;s WPF Chart Animations API is made flexible so that you can control when an animation\u00a0starts and stops, the animation start delay and animation duration. There are also several predefined <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/dotnet\/framework\/wpf\/graphics-multimedia\/easing-functions\">EasingFunctions<\/a> available in WPF, that would allow to further adjust the animation behaviour.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, please have a look at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scichart.com\/documentation\/v5.x\/Introduction%20to%20the%20Animations%20API%20.html\">WPF Chart Animations Documentation<\/a><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h6><strong>Polar Chart Rotation: <\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>This is a new feature added to the polar chart, which will allow you to set the rotation of the Xaxis so that the zero is at any angle. This often requested feature will allow you to have polar Charts with the 0,360 degree mark at the top of the chart.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scichart.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/scichart-polar-chart-rotation.gif\" rel=\"prettyphoto\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-26033 size-large\" title=\"https:\/\/www.scichart.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/scichart-polar-chart-rotation.gif\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scichart.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/scichart-wpf-polar-rotation-min-1024x555.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"555\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h6><strong>Show tooltips as popup option: <\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>If you have lots of charts on the screen, or a small chart size, it was often reported that the tooltips would be clipped at the edge of the chart. Bug fixes are shipped first in our <a href=\"http:\/\/support.scichart.com\/index.php?\/Knowledgebase\/Article\/View\/17232\/37\/getting-nightly-builds-with-nuget\">nightly builds<\/a> and are bundled up and tested for stable releases.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Fixed the issue with scrolling when DiscontinuousAxis is used<\/li>\n<li>Fixed Static axes with changed MinorMajor delta takes no effect and no re-drawing.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed SC-4747 BorderThickness and BorderBrush missed when export with clone<\/li>\n<li>Fixed the issue when a Scrollbar would jitter if the track dragged when stuck at either end of the scroll area<\/li>\n<li>Removed TypeMarkupExtension and FasterRandom has been moved to SciChart.ExternalDependencies. This removes all CPOL code from the commercial SciChart library<\/li>\n<li>Removed class LayoutTransformer due to CPOL Open Source license objection by one of our customers.
