Should I be using SVG, Canvas, or WebGL for large data sets?

SVG based JavaScript chart libraries are good when you’re rendering less data but very flexible for styling. Canvas 2D charts are faster but get quite slow as they reach 10,000 datapoints. WebGL based chart libraries offer the fastest approach to data rendering using hardware acceleration. If you want to render over 100,000 data points you will need to use WebGL.
