Hello there!

I have another questions

Candles are imposed sometimes, and sometimes looks great đŸ˜‰

                    ChartControl.XAxis = new DateTimeAxis { };

ChartControl.XAxis.GrowBy.AsDoubleRange();
ChartControl.XAxis.GrowBy.Max = 0.1;
ChartControl.XAxis.GrowBy.Min = 0.1;
ChartControl.YAxis = new NumericAxis { AutoRange = true };
ChartControl.YAxes = new AxisCollection();
ChartControl.YAxes.Add(new NumericAxis {
AxisAlignment = AxisAlignment.Right,
AxisTitle = "Left",
Visibility = System.Windows.Visibility.Visible });

Hi there,

  1. This is expected behavior, because of using the DateTimeAxis. To avoid it, you should use the CategoryDateTimeAxis.

  2. Why do you think that it doesn’t work? Does your data range is wider that range which is shown? Could I ask you what do you want to see? Maybe you just need to set GrowBy on YAxes.

Yuriy

Well, candle width is calculated by dividing number of data-points on screen by number of pixels on screen.

When we build Candlestick charts we assumed it would be used for stock charts (with CategoryDateTimeAxis, which collapses gaps). If that’s not the case (you want gaps, and are using DateTimeAxis) then we need to calculate our point width slightly differently.

Can you let us know what you are trying to do?

Thanks!
Andrew

    Great news, thanks :)! We are constantly improving the component to provide fast, high-quality charting and are glad to hear that SciChart users are satisfied with our product!Regarding this issue you've mentioned, you can find it in our Sci Trader example as well; it appears when some data points have negative indexes and we are going to get it fixed in the next update.Regards, Yuriy
