I have looked at the sample code for highlighting the selected series. It lets you set the colour, line thickness and point markers. Is it possible to set a custom brush for the line? We would like the selected line to remain the same colour but when selected to show an opaque shadow (or highlight) on the line.

Also is it possible for the legend to show which line is selected?

Hello,

Thanks for your enquiry about SciChart.

Yes, seems like we’ve got a way to achieve something like this. Well, you can control the series opacity via BaseRenderableSeries.Opacity property. You could check out our RealTime Ghosted Traces example and see how it can be implemented.

Regarding whether it’s possible for the legend to show which line is selected. Right, currently our Legend reflects the changes from the main chart. Therefore if it comes to opaque shadowed lines we may have to think of some other way to work it out.
What we can suggest here is to refer to a recent discussion of a similar question in this thread. Hope that is what you were looking for.

Let us know if the above helps or how can we be of further assistance.
We’ll be happy to help you with this.

Best regards,
– Olya
